The image above is an eight-color screen print I created of the Overwatch character, D.Va.
My favorite quote was said by Gerard Way, "Stay beautiful, keep it ugly."
I wanted the first print to look beautiful and enticing, and the second print to look rough and worn. The background of these pieces are both a monoprint, and the quote has been screen printed on top.
After studying art history, I found artists self portraits extremely fascinating. I decided for my next project, I was going to create my own portrait as a CMYK print.
My teacher recommended using scrap paper during the process to try different variations of the print. The results of this is incredibly interesting!
